The Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association (NVBBA) is a professional association of attorneys admitted to practice before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division.  Join our membership!

NVBBA was established in 1990 by a group of northern Virginia bankruptcy practitioners as a vehicle to promote civility and professionalism in the practice of bankruptcy law and to provide continuing legal education to our members. NVBBA has now grown to well over 100 members and is recognized as the representative organization for northern Virginia bankruptcy practitioners.

NVBBA provides educational programs at its monthly breakfast meetings which allow our practitioners to meet a large portion of their annual CLE requirement (usually about 10 hours of CLE credit per year). In addition, NVBBA produces an annual ethics program designed to satisfy the CLE ethics requirements for Virginia lawyers. NVBBA also sponsors periodic social events, such as the annual Judges Roundtable discussions, annual holiday extravaganza, and an annual golf tournament. Finally, NVBBA provides a vehicle for direct interaction between the bar and the bench on matters of common interest.
